Key takeaways
- Fomo is cheapest on trades of 190 USDC and up (0.50%, Solana gas included) and easiest on a phone, but has the fewest trading tools.
- Axiom and GMGN both charge 1%. Axiom offers SOL cashback down to 0.75% and an exportable recovery phrase; GMGN has deeper analytics, copy trading and more chains, but blocks private key export.
- A $1,000 buy and $1,000 sell costs about $17 to $20 in platform fees on Axiom or GMGN and $9 to $10 on Fomo, before slippage.
- All three give about 10% off fees through a referral link, and it has to be applied when you sign up.
Fomo is the best choice if you trade from your phone and want the lowest fee on normal-sized trades. Axiom is the best all-round desktop terminal for Solana launches, with cashback and an exportable recovery phrase. GMGN is the pick if you want the deepest token research, copy trading and the widest chain coverage, and can accept wallets you can’t export. Figures are as of September 2026.

Fees: which terminal is cheapest?
The headline rates are simple: Axiom and GMGN take 1% of each buy and sell, Fomo takes 0.50%. The details change the picture at the edges.
- Axiom pays SOL cashback by volume tier, from 0.05% at Wood to 0.25% at Champion, so the net fee runs 0.95% to 0.75% (Axiom fee docs). The volume needed for each tier isn’t published.
- GMGN charges a flat 1% with no cashback, per its fees page. Priority and tip fees go to validators, and GMGN suggests 0.002–0.005 SOL per normal trade.
- Fomo charges 0.50% and pays Solana gas for you, but uses flat bands on small Solana orders: 0.10 USDC under 5 USDC, 2% from 5 to 47.50 USDC, and 0.95 USDC from 47.50 to 190 USDC (Fomo fee page).
Worked example: a $1,000 trade
You buy $1,000 of a Solana token and later sell it for $1,000. That’s two fee events and $2,000 of volume. Network costs assume default or suggested settings and an assumed SOL price of $125.
| Axiom (Wood tier) | GMGN | Fomo | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform fee, no referral | $19.00 ($20 minus $1 cashback) | $20.00 | $10.00 |
| Platform fee, with referral | about $17.10 | about $18.00 (10% code) | $9.00 |
| Network fees, 2 transactions | about 0.004 SOL ($0.50) | 0.004–0.010 SOL ($0.50–$1.25) | $0 (included) |
| Total with referral | about $17.60 | about $18.50–$19.25 | $9.00 |
At this size Fomo costs about half as much. Over 50 round trips a month, the gap between Fomo and the 1% terminals is roughly $400 to $500.
Worked example: a $50 trade
Small “lottery” buys flip the ranking. A $50 buy and $50 sell on Solana:
| Axiom | GMGN | Fomo | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform fee | $0.95 net ($1.00 minus cashback) | $1.00 | $1.90 (0.95 USDC flat, twice) |
| Network fees | about $0.50 | $0.50–$1.25 | $0 |
| Total | about $1.45 (2.9%) | $1.50–$2.25 (3–4.5%) | $1.90 (3.8%) |
Every option is expensive at this size, which is the real lesson: small memecoin trades lose 3% to 4% before the price moves at all. Deeper tier-by-tier maths is in our Axiom fees guide.
Referral discounts compared
| What you get | What referrers earn | Can you add it later? | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Axiom | 10% off Axiom’s fee | 30% of net fee, plus 3% and 2% on the next two levels, paid in SOL | Not documented, assume no |
| GMGN | Depends on the code, commonly 10% off | 10% to 30% of invitees’ fees, by volume | No, binds at first login |
| Fomo | 10% off, 0.45% instead of 0.50% | 25% of fees in the cash balance (Solana counts from the 2nd trade) | No, only on the sign-up screen |
The shared rule: all three attach the referral at signup, so decide before you create the account. Details and steps are on the Axiom, GMGN and Fomo referral code pages.
Chains
Fomo covers the most chains from a single balance: Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain, all funded from one USDC cash balance, so you don’t bridge or hold gas tokens yourself.
GMGN documents Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and Tron, with a Telegram bot for each, and has added newer chains to the web terminal during 2026. One Solana wallet and one shared EVM wallet cover most of them. Copy trading is Solana only.
Axiom is Solana-first. Its referral docs also count trades on BNB Chain and Ethereum, and perps run on Hyperliquid. If most of your trading is on Solana, this won’t matter; if you chase launches on Base or Tron, GMGN or Fomo fit better.
Mobile vs desktop
Fomo is built for the phone. Native iOS and Android apps, Apple ID or Google login, Face ID for withdrawals, and debit card or Apple Pay deposits. There’s a web version at fomo.family on the same account.
GMGN runs everywhere: a web terminal, a mobile app downloaded through gmgn.ai, and Telegram bots that share the same wallets. You can research on a laptop and sell from Telegram. Fake GMGN apps have appeared in the App Store, so only use the download link from GMGN’s own site.
Axiom is a browser terminal designed for a large screen. It works in a mobile browser, but Axiom doesn’t document an official native app, and any “Axiom” app or APK should be treated as a likely scam.

In short, Axiom is built around catching launches and migrations quickly, GMGN around data and automation, and Fomo around ease of use and seeing what other people are buying.
Custody: who controls your keys?
This is the difference people most often overlook.
Axiom wallets are built on Turnkey’s key infrastructure. At signup you’re shown a recovery phrase, and Axiom recommends importing it into Phantom, Rabby or Solflare so you can reach your funds without the site. The risk is your login: anyone who takes over your email or Google account can trade with one click. Separately, in February 2026 ZachXBT alleged that an Axiom employee had used internal dashboards to look up users’ wallets and trade ahead of them; Axiom said it removed access and opened an investigation. Assume the company can see which wallets are yours.
GMGN generates your wallets when you first log in with Telegram, and its wallet docs say private key export is prohibited on every chain, even for imported wallets. Withdrawals need Google Authenticator and a whitelisted address, with a 3-hour wait after setting or changing it. That makes theft harder, but you depend entirely on GMGN’s interface to move funds.
Fomo wallets run on Privy, with the key split so no single party holds all of it. There’s no seed phrase, login is Apple ID or Google, and you can export your private key to leave. As with Axiom, your login account effectively is your wallet, so protect it with two-factor authentication.
Whichever you choose, keep only a trading balance on it and move profits to a wallet you control. Our guide to whether Telegram trading bots are safe covers the same trade-offs for bot wallets.
Volume and momentum
Market share among terminals has swung hard in 2026. On 8 September 2026, Castle Labs figures cited by PANews showed Fomo at about $358 million of daily volume (40%), GMGN at $292 million (33%) and Axiom at $92 million (10%). Axiom led the category for much of 2025. For current numbers, the trading terminals Dune dashboard tracks volume across Fomo, Axiom, GMGN and others.
Volume isn’t a quality score, but it does tell you where new tokens and other traders are, and which platforms are likely to keep shipping features.
The risk that matters more than the platform
All three are mainly used to trade new memecoins, and the base rates are grim. Historically, fewer than 2% of Pump.fun tokens ever complete their bonding curve, according to Solana Compass, and most of those still fade. Developers dump supply, first-block snipers and bundled wallets sell into the first buyers, and honeypot contracts can stop you selling at all. The best terminal lowers your fees and helps you spot obvious traps; it doesn’t change those odds. Size every position as money you can lose completely.
Which should you choose?
Choose Fomo if you trade on your phone
You want to fund with a card, trade across several chains from one balance and follow other traders, and your orders are usually above 190 USDC. It’s the cheapest of the three at that size and the simplest to start. Read the Fomo app review or sign up for Fomo with the 0.45% rate.
Choose Axiom if you trade Solana launches on desktop
You want a fast screen for new pairs and migrations, built-in wallet and X tracking, Hyperliquid perps in the same account, and a recovery phrase you can take elsewhere. The 1% fee is the price. See the Axiom review or open Axiom with the 10% discount.
Choose GMGN if you research before you buy
You want contract checks, insider and sniper breakdowns, copy trading and trailing stops, across Solana and EVM chains, from web, app or Telegram. Accept that you can’t export your keys. The GMGN review goes into its vetting tools, or open GMGN and try the screener first; token pages are free to browse.

Frequently asked questions
Which is cheaper, Axiom or GMGN?
Both charge a 1% base fee. Axiom returns SOL cashback that lowers the effective rate to between 0.95% and 0.75% depending on volume tier, while GMGN has no published cashback tiers, so Axiom is slightly cheaper for most traders.
Is Fomo cheaper than Axiom?
On orders of 190 USDC and above, yes: Fomo charges 0.50% against Axiom's 1%, and covers Solana gas. On small Solana orders Fomo's flat and 2% fee bands can cost more than Axiom's 1%.
Which trading terminal has the most volume?
It changes quickly. On 8 September 2026, Castle Labs data cited by PANews put Fomo at about 40% of daily terminal volume, GMGN at about 33% and Axiom at about 10%.
Which terminal lets me export my private key?
Axiom shows you a recovery phrase you can import into Phantom or Solflare, and Fomo lets you export your private key. GMGN blocks private key export for the wallets it generates.
Can I use more than one terminal?
Yes, and many traders do. A common setup is using GMGN's free token pages for research and trading on whichever platform is cheapest or fastest for that trade.
