Key takeaways
- Axiom is a browser-based trading terminal built for fast Solana memecoin trading, with token discovery, migration sniping, limit orders, wallet and X tracking, and Hyperliquid perps in one screen.
- It charges 1% per spot trade, reduced to 0.75% at the top cashback tier, plus 10% off with a referral link.
- Wallets are non-custodial and built on Turnkey; you get a recovery phrase you can import into Phantom or Solflare.
- Main weaknesses: a high fee for frequent traders, no official native app, and a February 2026 scandal over employees misusing internal user data.
Axiom is a browser-based trading terminal for fast onchain trading, mainly Solana memecoins. It puts token discovery, one-click buys, migration sniping, limit orders, wallet and X tracking and Hyperliquid perps into one screen. It suits active traders who want speed and tooling and can live with a 1% fee. It’s a poor fit for anyone trading occasionally, who would pay less on a simpler app. This review is based on Axiom’s documentation, public fee data and reporting, as of September 2026.
What is Axiom?
Axiom (axiom.trade) is a web trading platform funded by Y Combinator. Its docs describe it as a “hybrid” of trading app and wallet: you sign up with email, Google or Phantom, Axiom creates wallets for you, and you trade from those wallets without approving each transaction in an extension.
Solana is the core market. Axiom’s referral docs also count trades on BNB Chain and Ethereum, and its perps tab executes on Hyperliquid. Some trackers list further EVM chains being added in 2026, so check the chain selector for the current list.
On volume, Axiom was the leading terminal for much of 2025 and early 2026 but has since lost ground. On 8 September 2026, data cited by PANews put Axiom at about 10% of daily terminal volume, behind Fomo (about 40%) and GMGN (about 33%).
Who is Axiom for?
A good fit if you:
- Trade Solana memecoins several times a week and care about getting in quickly after launch or migration.
- Want token discovery, wallet tracking and X monitoring in one tab instead of juggling Telegram bots.
- Like the idea of spot and Hyperliquid perps under one login.
Probably skip it if you:
- Make a few trades a month. At 1% per side, a simpler app such as Fomo costs about half as much on trades above 190 USDC.
- Mainly want to buy and hold larger tokens. A normal wallet plus an aggregator is cheaper.
- Trade mostly from your phone. Axiom works in a mobile browser, but it’s designed for a desktop screen.
Features
Pulse: token discovery
Pulse is Axiom’s live feed of new launches, split into three columns: New Pairs, Final Stretch (tokens close to completing their bonding curve) and Migrated (tokens that just graduated to a DEX pool). The Pulse docs list filters for age, top-10 holder share, dev holdings, sniper share, insider share, bundle share, liquidity, volume and market cap. You can quick-buy straight from the list.
These filters are the most useful part of Axiom for risk control. A token where snipers, insiders or bundled wallets hold a large chunk of supply is one where you’re likely to be someone’s exit.
Migration sniping
Axiom’s “migration actions” let you queue a buy that fires when a token migrates from its launchpad to a DEX pool, and a sell that fires on migration. This replaces a separate sniper bot. You set the fees you’re willing to pay and wait.
Limit orders and instant trade
Limit orders can be set with a slider or by dragging a price line on the chart. Instant Trade gives a compact buy/sell panel with presets, so you can act from any page.
Wallet tracker, Trader Scan and X monitor
You can add wallets to a tracker and watch their buys in real time alongside Pulse. Trader Scan shows, for any token, what each wallet has bought and sold, its current balance, realised PnL and holding time. The Tweet Monitor watches key crypto accounts on X, and you can add your own handles. Axiom’s docs say it’s free once you’ve done at least 5 SOL of trading volume.
Bundle checker
Axiom flags transactions as a likely bundle when four or more buys land in the same block, then ignores wallets that don’t keep bundling. It’s a helpful signal, and Axiom itself says it won’t catch everything.
Perps via Hyperliquid
The perpetuals tab trades on Hyperliquid with up to 50x leverage. You convert SOL to USDC on Hyperliquid inside Axiom, and convert back when you’re done (Axiom quotes about five minutes). Axiom adds 0.01% per transaction on top of Hyperliquid’s own fees. If perps are your main interest, trading directly on Hyperliquid is covered in our Hyperliquid guide.
Multi-wallet, staking and fiat on-ramp
You can run several wallets from one dashboard, with labels, and switch between them without logging out. Idle SOL can be staked to Axiom’s validator at 0% commission or swapped into its axiSOL liquid staking token. A Coinbase-powered on-ramp lets you buy up to $500 of crypto a week without KYC, per Axiom’s FAQ.
How much does Axiom cost?
Axiom charges 1% on every spot buy and sell, with SOL cashback lowering the effective rate from 0.95% (Wood tier) to 0.75% (Champion tier) as your volume grows. A referral link takes 10% off Axiom’s fee. Network priority fees and MEV tips are extra, 0.001 SOL each by default.
A $1,000 buy and $1,000 sell costs about $19 in Axiom fees at the entry tier. Our Axiom fees guide has the full tier table and more examples.
How does Axiom custody work?
Axiom describes its wallets as non-custodial, built on Turnkey, a key-management provider that stores keys in secure hardware enclaves. In practice:
- At signup you’re shown a recovery phrase for your Axiom wallets, and you can view it again in settings.
- Axiom recommends importing that phrase into a standard wallet such as Phantom, Rabby or Solflare, so you can reach your funds even if Axiom’s website is down.
- Day to day, trades are signed without a wallet pop-up. That’s what makes one-click trading possible, and it also means anyone who gets into your Axiom account can trade and move funds.
So the main custody risks are account takeover (a phished email, Google account or password) and dependence on Axiom and Turnkey’s infrastructure for normal use. Your practical defences:
- Back up the recovery phrase offline, and import it into a wallet you control.
- Use a strong, unique password and secure the email or Google account you log in with.
- Keep only your trading balance on Axiom and sweep profits to a separate wallet, ideally a hardware wallet.
- Only use axiom.trade. Axiom doesn’t document an official native app, and fake “Axiom” apps and APKs circulate.
Is Axiom safe?
The platform itself has been running since early 2025 without a reported hack of user wallets that we could find. There is, however, a serious trust issue on the record.
On 26 February 2026, investigator ZachXBT alleged that an Axiom business-development employee had used internal dashboards to look up users’ wallet addresses, tracked wallets and linked accounts, and shared that data with associates who traded ahead of them. DL News reported ZachXBT’s criticism that there was “little to no monitoring or access controls” on that data. Axiom said it was shocked by the allegations, removed access to the systems involved and opened an internal investigation.
The funds weren’t taken from wallets, but the lesson is concrete: Axiom can see which wallets belong to you, which wallets you track and what you trade. If privacy matters to your strategy, assume that information is visible to the company.
For the broader picture, including how Telegram bots compare on key handling, see are Telegram trading bots safe.
The bigger risk: what you’re trading
Axiom is mainly used to trade newly launched tokens, and that market is brutal. Historically, fewer than 2% of Pump.fun tokens ever complete their bonding curve and reach a DEX, according to Solana Compass. Of the ones that do, most still fade to near zero.
The common ways people lose money:
- Rugs and dev dumps: the creator or insiders sell their supply into your buy.
- Snipers and bundles: wallets that bought in the first block sell into the first wave of retail.
- Sandwich attacks: bots buy just before you and sell straight after, if your slippage is loose and MEV protection is off.
- Fees on churn: at 1% per side, ten round trips cost about 20% of your position in fees alone.
Axiom’s filters and bundle checker help you avoid the worst setups. They don’t make the odds good.
Strengths and weaknesses
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|---|---|
| Fast, dense interface built for launches and migrations | 1% base fee, expensive for frequent traders |
| Useful risk filters: sniper, insider, bundle and dev share | Cashback tier thresholds aren’t published |
| Wallet tracker, Trader Scan and X monitor built in | No official native mobile app |
| Recovery phrase you can export to Phantom or Solflare | One-click trading means account takeover is costly |
| Hyperliquid perps in the same account | February 2026 insider-data allegations |
| SOL cashback and 10% referral discount | Volume share fell sharply in 2026 as rivals grew |
Axiom vs the alternatives
GMGN charges the same 1% and covers more chains, with a native mobile app and deeper copy-trading automation, but its bot wallets don’t let you export private keys. Fomo is a mobile-first social trading app with a 0.50% fee (and Solana gas included), but far fewer pro tools and no copy trading. We go through fees, custody and features side by side in Axiom vs GMGN vs Fomo, and cover GMGN on its own in our GMGN review.
Verdict
Axiom is one of the most complete terminals for trading Solana launches: the discovery filters, migration tools and tracking features are genuinely useful, and the exportable recovery phrase is better than some rivals offer. Against that, the 1% fee adds up quickly and the 2026 data scandal is a real mark against trusting it with information about your trading.
If you trade actively on Solana and want everything in one place, sign up on Axiom with a small balance, back up your recovery phrase before depositing, and keep profits somewhere else. The referral link applies a 10% fee discount; details are on our Axiom referral code page.
Frequently asked questions
Is Axiom Trade legit?
Yes. Axiom is a Y Combinator-backed trading platform that has been operating since early 2025 and has handled a large share of Solana terminal volume. Being legitimate does not make memecoin trading on it safe.
Is Axiom custodial?
Axiom describes its wallets as non-custodial, built on Turnkey's key infrastructure. You are shown a recovery phrase at signup and can view it later in settings, so you can move your wallet to Phantom or another Solana wallet.
Does Axiom have a mobile app?
Axiom does not document an official native app. It runs in the browser, including on mobile. Apps in stores or APK files using the Axiom name should be treated as likely scams.
What chains does Axiom support?
Axiom started on Solana, which is still its main market. Its referral docs also count trades on BNB Chain and Ethereum, and perps run through Hyperliquid.
What happened with Axiom and ZachXBT?
In February 2026 ZachXBT alleged that an Axiom employee used internal dashboards to look up users' wallets and trade ahead of them. Axiom said it removed access to the systems involved and opened an internal investigation.
