Axiom referral code: how the fee discount works

Sign up to Axiom with a referral link and pay 10% less on trading fees, cutting the 1% base fee to about 0.9%. How to apply it, what it saves, and the limits.

Disclosure: Some links in this article are referral links. If you sign up through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It doesn't affect what we write. How we make money.

Key takeaways

  • An Axiom referral link gives you 10% off Axiom's trading fee, which takes the 1% base fee down to roughly 0.9% of each trade.
  • The discount is tied to signup: Axiom's docs only describe getting it by registering through a referral link, not adding it later.
  • On $10,000 of monthly volume the discount saves about $10 a month before cashback, more if you trade often.
  • Referrers earn 30% of Axiom's net fee from direct referrals, plus 3% and 2% from the next two levels.

An Axiom referral link gives you 10% off Axiom’s trading fees for the account you create with it. Axiom charges 1% per trade before any discounts, so the referral takes that to roughly 0.9%, and it stays on the account as long as the program runs (terms as of September 2026).

How to apply the Axiom referral code

The discount is attached at signup, so the order of steps matters.

  1. Open Axiom through the referral link in a fresh browser tab. If you land on the site some other way first, close it and use the link again.
  2. Click Sign up and pick a method: email, Google or a Phantom wallet, according to Axiom’s signup guide.
  3. If you chose email, enter the one-time code Axiom sends you, then set a password.
  4. Write down the recovery phrase Axiom shows you. It is the backup for your Axiom wallets. Axiom itself recommends importing it into a standard wallet such as Phantom or Solflare so you can reach your funds without the site.
  5. Deposit SOL to the wallet address shown. Your first trade is charged at the discounted rate automatically; there is no code to type at checkout.

Already have an Axiom account?

Axiom’s referral documentation only describes the discount for people who sign up through a referral link. It doesn’t describe any way to bind a code to an existing account, so assume you can’t. Creating a second account just for the discount means a new set of wallets and starting again at the bottom cashback tier, which is rarely worth it for the difference.

What the 10% discount is worth

Axiom’s fee is a flat percentage of trade size, charged on buys and on sells. The discount applies to that fee only.

Monthly volume (buys + sells)Fee at 1%Fee with referral (about 0.9%)Saved per month
$2,000$20$18$2
$10,000$100$90$10
$50,000$500$450$50
$250,000$2,500$2,250$250

Volume adds up faster than most people expect with memecoins. Buying $500 of a token and selling it later is $1,000 of volume, so ten round trips a month at that size is already the $10,000 row.

On top of this, Axiom pays SOL cashback on your fees. At the entry “Wood” tier the docs list a 0.05% cashback, which brings the base fee to 0.95%. Axiom doesn’t publish how the referral discount and cashback combine to the decimal, so treat the numbers above as the fee before cashback. Our Axiom fees breakdown goes through every tier with worked examples.

How Axiom’s referral program works for referrers

Every Axiom account gets its own referral link. Axiom pays referrers a share of its net fee, which is the fee after user discounts and promotions, across three levels:

LevelWho it coversYour share of Axiom’s net fee
1 (direct)People who sign up with your link30%
2 (indirect)People your referrals bring in3%
3 (extended)People level 2 brings in2%

A quick example: if someone you referred trades $10,000 in a month with the referral discount, Axiom’s net fee is about $90, and your 30% is about $27. If one of their referrals trades the same amount, you get 3% of that fee on top, about $2.70.

Limits worth knowing, from Axiom’s docs:

  • There’s no cap on referral earnings.
  • Earnings are counted on trades on Solana, BNB Chain and Ethereum.
  • Some tokens can be excluded from rewards “due to technical limitations”, so not every trade a referral makes will pay out.
  • Rewards come from Axiom’s fees and are paid in SOL, per the reward system page.

Referral activity also earns points in Axiom’s point system, which feeds a leaderboard. Axiom hasn’t said what points will be worth, so don’t count on them.

Before you sign up

Axiom is a fast terminal for trading Solana memecoins and other small tokens, and most of those tokens go to zero. A 10% fee discount matters far less than position size and avoiding rugs. If you are still choosing a platform, read our Axiom review or the Axiom vs GMGN vs Fomo comparison first.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Axiom referral code give me?

A 10% discount on Axiom's trading fees for the account you create through the link. On the 1% base fee that works out to about 0.9% per trade.

Can I add an Axiom referral code to an existing account?

Axiom's documentation only describes the discount applying to users who sign up through a referral link. There is no documented way to attach a code to an account that already exists.

Does the referral discount stack with Axiom's cashback tiers?

Axiom describes the referral discount and the SOL cashback tiers as separate benefits, so you get both. Axiom doesn't publish the exact combined formula, so check the fee shown on your trades.

Does the discount cover Solana network fees?

No. It only reduces Axiom's own fee. Priority fees, MEV tips and any launchpad or pool fees are charged separately.
